The South Burnett Regional Council has advised that there will be some temporary lane closures over the next two months to allow roadworks to be carried out in Haly Street, Kingaroy.

The temporary closures will extend from the lights at Kingaroy Street through to Willowglen Street.

The project is due to start on Monday, October 29, and should take about seven weeks, weather permitting.

To reduce disruption to residents and businesses the works at the T-intersection of Kingaroy and Haly Streets will be done on a weekend.

Side streets on to Haly Street will have to be closed as works are being conducted across each intersection and detours will be in place to direct traffic around the works.

Council has requested that the public use alternate routes during the above timeframe.

A letter box drop to all residents living in Haly Street, Kingaroy, and the surrounding area will be sent out early next week.
