Lights, camera, action!

Hollywood came to Kingaroy on Saturday night for the annual Kingaroy Kindergarten Ball.

Matt Hollywood, that is!

The “Hollywood Illusion Gala Dinner” at Kingaroy Town Hall featured entertainment by the master magician and entertainer Matt Hollywood, a former winner of the Australian “Champion of Magic” award.

Matt worked with the crowd … saving a starring role for Kingaroy businessman Peter Ploetz.

Local jazz musician Andrew Riek provided the after-dinner music.

The formal dinner featured a three course a-la-carte dinner, dancing, a huge memorabilia auction and multi-draw raffles, all in the name of a good cause.

The ball is the kindy’s major annual fundraiser.

Spokesperson Abby Andersson said the kindy is trying to raise $20,000 so it can complete its move into a new building.

Abby said she would like to especially thank Jen’s Party Supplies who did all the balloon decorations in the hall.
