Club Nights have begun again at Kingaroy Pool

October 10, 2012

Kingaroy Swim Club Nights re-started at the Kingaroy Pool this week.

Club President Belinda Gangemi says club nights are a fun way for swimmers to compete in swim races.

The competitive swimming nights are not just for people new to swim racing;  more experienced swimmers also come along.  Swimmers can choose which races to compete in.

The  club nights are held every Tuesday from 6:00pm.

Belinda said entry to the Kingaroy Pool on Club Night is free to members and those who wish to use a free Club Night pass (terms and conditions apply).

Entry to the pool is via the side gate in the William Street if the main entry is closed.

In case of wet weather – or any other apparent reason for cancellation – contact can be made with the pool staff after 5:00pm on the day to check if the Club Night will be conducted.

Belinda said club uniforms are usually available for sale and parents can also help out by timekeeping as well as setting up and packing up at the end of the evening.

A club night point score is kept throughout the year and trophies will be awarded to the winners at an annual presentation night.

The times achieved in the races are usually “official” and can be used to qualify for swim meets up to the State level.
