The approximate area that will be affected by Tuesday's water outage
September 28, 2012

About 90 houses in the area bounded by Knight Street, Railway Terrace and Kingaroy Street, as well as Kingaroy’s industrial estate, will have their water supply turned off from 7:30am to 3:00pm on Tuesday, October 2.

The South Burnett Regional Council will be undertaking routine maintenance work on the town’s water supply during these hours.

While no problems are anticipated, full restoration of supply may be extended if unexpected circumstances occur.

The SBRC has advised residents and businesses in the area to take appropriate actions, such as turning off hot water systems and saving enough water for the period.

If necessary, toilets can be flushed during the outage by quickly discharging a 10 litre bucket of water into the pedestal.

All households and businesses likely to be affected were sent a leaflet by Council earlier this week.

Any enquiries should be directed to the Council’s Water and Wastewater Department by phoning (07) 4189-9100 or by emailing them.
