The South Burnett’s very own musical tractor, fondly called the “Mongrel”, will be out and about in Wondai this weekend.
The South Burnett Regional Council has begun transporting the tractor around the region.
Communities are encouraged to create their own compositions, and to film them for uploading on YouTube.
“It is a great opportunity for the Musical Tractor to be part of a community event and the Wondai Garden Expo is a great place to start for its Regional Tour after the grand opening in Kingaroy,” Mayor Wayne Kratzmann said.
“The Tractor Tattoo 2012 project was about bringing a new form of arts and culture to the South Burnett and this is another way for the community to experience the tractor buzz and play their own tune on the Tractor.”
If you’d like an opportunity to play a tune on the ‘Mongrel’, you can find it at the Visitor Information Centre in Wondai where it will be located until it is moved to the next secret location.
The musical tractor was funded by Australia Council of the Arts, Regional Arts Fund and Arts Queensland and brought to the community by the South Burnett Regional Council.
