Kingaroy Community Kindergarten will be hosting a special private marquee at the Nanango Cup race meeting on August 4.
Tickets to this exclusive event – there are only 200 tickets available – cost $80 per head and include a return bus trip from Kingaroy, entry to the races, a race book, hot and cold finger food, desserts, premium beers, wine, champagne and vodka cruisers. There’ll also be live music and a private bookie (so you don’t have to leave the private marquee to place a bet …)
“The community is so supportive of our endeavours to raise funds for our new kindy facility and with this in mind we are planning an event that offers an enjoyable day out for members of the community to escape their busy schedules,” said Jody Collins, fundraising co-ordinator for the Kingaroy Kindergarten.
The theme for XXXX Gold Carrollee Hotel Nanango Cup Race Meeting is “Elegant Black and White”.
“It’s a great excuse to get dressed up, enjoy some live music by Liam Parsons, good food, and the thrills of a race day with friends,” Jody said.
“There will be prizes for best dressed male and female as well as a raffle draw for prizes worth $600.”
Tickets are available from the Carollee Hotel and include entry into the races and return transfers (buses will leave the Carrollee Hotel at 11:00am and will depart the races at 5:30pm)

Jody said Stage 1 of the Kingaroy Kindy’s new building was nearly complete after years of fundraising.
“Fundraising for Stages 2 and 3 is in full swing,” she said.
“This is to complete the playground, fencing and car parking.”
The Nanango Cup Meeting is a six-race event and is always one of the biggest local race meetings of the year.
Another highlight of the day will be the presentation of the Race Club’s annual Premiership Awards to the most outstanding trainers, jockeys and horses who’ve competed on Nanango’s track over the previous 12 months.
