The Nanango and District Netball Association will be hosting Round 2 of the Wide Bay Regional Carnival on Sunday (August 5) in Nanango.
Teams from Bundaberg, Monto, Gayndah, Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Kingaroy and Nanango will compete in 11yrs, 12yrs, 13yrs, 14yrs and 15yrs age groups.
Games are scheduled to begin at 8:30am and will run through to 3:00pm with presentations following.
The launch of the Wide Bay Regional Netball Academy will also take place on Sunday in Nanango, in conjunction with the Regional Carnival.
The selected athletes will be training with their academy coach Shelley Naumann and elite players from Queensland Firebirds Amy Steel and Chelsea Pittman.
Following a training run, the athletes will be presented with their certificates and shirts.
