Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington has welcomed news that Kingaroy’s Motors in Motion event will receive a funding boost this year.

The festival, which has replaced Kingaroy’s Peanut Pestival, has been successful in receiving funding from the Events Queensland Regional Development Program.

Mrs Frecklington said the funding would help this great event to grow and become more sustainable, along with supporting the local economy and promoting the South Burnett region.

Motors in Motion will receive $5000 towards organising the 2012 event to be held at the Kingaroy Aerodrome on October 27.

The event features displays from aircraft to stationary engines, vintage tractors, farm machinery, cars and motorcycles.
