The Big Break duo finalists ‘Mossy and Stevo’ get into the feel of some classic Radiohead

June 29, 2012

The South Burnett’s hidden talent has been on show in Kingaroy over the past two months as “The Big Break” talent search pitted local musicians against each other in a live competition on Friday nights.

Organised by Michael “DJ Direx” Monk, and sponsored by the Commercial Hotel, Tanglewood Guitars and Musicians Oasis, the competition came down to a showdown between two acts, decided by popular vote from the hotel patrons.

The winner of The Big Break duo competition, held this evening in the front bar at the Commercial, was Mossy and Stevo, aka vocalist Anthony Moss and guitarist Stephen Smith, from Kingaroy, who put their heart and soul into some classic Radiohead and other crowd favourites.

They competed against duo John Swatland, from Wondai, and Kate Eckersall, from Tingoora, whose harmonies were a lot quieter but also won support from the crowd.
