Reconstruction of the Nanango-Brooklands Road will begin next Tuesday, the South Burnett Regional Council advised today.
The project will start about 9km from Nanango’s CBD and extend for about 2km.
“The reconstruction is expected to take 12 weeks, weather permitting, and will consist of road widening to two lanes and bitumen sealing of the road,” South Burnett Mayor Wayne Kratzmann said.
“Traffic speed will be reduced during the project and reduced to one lane when required. Traffic will also be controlled by traffic signals and traffic controllers as required.
“Council apologises for any inconvenience and asks motorist to drive safely during the period of road reconstruction.”
