Kingaroy’s Betta Electrical store has won the prestigious “Small Branded Retailer of the Year” award at its group’s annual conference being held this week in California.
Store owner Chris Robins is currently in the United States to collect the trophy.
The BSR Group – parent company of the Betta, Betta Home Living and Chandlers retail brands – is holding its annual conference in Santa Monica. More than 250 BSR suppliers and retailers are attending the conference, which runs until Saturday.
Another Queensland store, Betta Home Living at Wilsonton, was recognised as the “Large Branded Retailer of the Year” (for stores larger than 650sq m).
BSR Group CEO Graeme Cunningham praised the strong performance of the individual award winners.
“These winners represent the best of the best within Betta and Betta Home Living brands and we are proud of the hard work and dedication they have shown over the last year,” he said.
BSR announced last month that it had achieved a 2-3 per cent increase in sales for the financial year ended March 31.
