A 34-year-old Aldershot man charged with two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm was sentenced to 145 days’ jail when he appeared in Murgon Magistrates’ Court today.
Police have previously alleged Adrian Hapaera Namana and another man were involved in an incident at Tarong in January during which a man was assaulted and a six-year-old girl knocked unconscious.
As Namana had been in custody for more than 145 days, he was immediately released.
