Celebrity chef Mark Olive will be visiting the South Burnett next month as part of the South Burnett Regional Council’s Healthy Communities Initiative.
Mark – dubbed “the Black Olive” by fans – hopes to inspire and motivate the community make healthy food choices.
He will be hosting free healthy cooking demonstrations for South Burnett residents on:
- Wednesday, May 2, at Cherbourg TAFE, doors open at 9:45am for a 10:00am start
- Wednesday, May 2, at Wondai Memorial Hall, doors open at 12:45pm for a 1:00pm start
- Thursday, May 3, at Kingaroy Uniting Church Hall, doors open at 9:45am for a 10:00am start
- Thursday, May 3, at Nanango Cultural Centre, doors open at 12:45pm for a 1:00pm start
- Friday, May 4, at Blackbutt Memorial Hall, doors open at 9:45am for a 10:00am start.
Food will be provided for the first 25 registrations in each town.

Mark will also give the audience an insight into traditional Aboriginal cooking using native Australian ingredients.
