The twice-yearly gathering of musical folk at the Maidenwell Pub always attracts a loyal bunch of regulars, and they were back in force at the weekend.<\/p>\n

From Friday night to Sunday afternoon, there was music erupting in informal groups inside the pub as well as on the verandahs outside.<\/p>\n

There were also more formal performances in the dining room.<\/p>\n

The Maidenwell Folk Gathering is a great opportunity for friends to get together and “jam”, and it also provides an opportunity for groups to introduce their CDs to their fellow musicians.<\/p>\n

At last weekend’s event three CDs were launched by various musicians, all eager to get feedback from their friends.<\/p>\n

The next Maidenwell Folk Gathering has been pencilled in for September this year – with a date yet to be confirmed.<\/p>\n
