Director Education & Training Brian Heim welcomes Executive Director Brent Kinnane to AACC<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Australian Agriculture College Corporation – which last week was the subject of reports that it could lose up to $6.8 million this financial year – has a new Executive Director.<\/p>\n

The incoming appointee is Brent Kinnane who said today he will be talking with college customers and stakeholders to identify options for the future of the colleges over the next couple of weeks.<\/p>\n

“The key focus will be providing quality, sustainable training programs that meet the needs of the rural industry and support the State Government\u2019s four pillars for economic development,” he said.<\/p>\n

Mr Kinnane commenced in the senior role earlier this week.<\/p>\n

An Ernst and Young report detailing the financial position of the AACC was presented to Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Minister John McVeigh last week.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining the AACC, Mr Kinnane held corporate management positions in the vocational education and training sector and was Director Regional Corporate Services for DAFF.<\/p>\n

“My immediate focus will be on providing sustainable, agricultural training to our customers and working with the college staff on corporate business management issues,” he said.<\/p>\n
