Yarraman residents can learn how easy it is to grow their own fruit and veges at a free Toowoomba Regional Council workshop in early March.<\/p>\n

Well-known horticulturalist Brian Sams will explain how to establish and maintain a backyard vegetable patch during a talk at Yarraman Memorial Hall on Saturday, March 7.<\/p>\n

The morning will run from 9:00am to noon.<\/p>\n

Mr Sams will demonstrate how to establish a backyard vegetable garden as well as working with patches and pots to suit all yard sizes.<\/p>\n

To book for the Seed to Feed workshop, contact Council on 13-18-72 or book online<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

TRC Parks and Recreation portfolio leader Cr Sue Englart said residents could also access free healthy living videos by visiting www.toowoombaRC.qld.gov.au\/change<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

“Many people have ways they maintain an active and healthy lifestyle and we’re encouraging community members to share these ideas with others for a chance to win a Fitbit activity tracker,” Cr Englart said.<\/p>\n
