2015 School Captains Richelle Bethke and Rory Browne received their badges of office<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

February 3, 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

Students, teachers and parents at St Mary’s Catholic College in Kingaroy gathered together on Tuesday morning to officially welcome the new school leaders for 2015.<\/p>\n

Fr Nigel Sequeira, from the Kingaroy Catholic parish, and Fr Michael Carroll, from the Murgon parish, celebrated Mass with the students in a packed Mary Knoll Centre.<\/p>\n

Badges were then blessed and presented to the 2015 House Captains, School Captains and Student Council leaders.<\/p>\n

The theme for the morning was “Let Your Light Shine”, and the students were urged to do their best at school and in the community.<\/p>\n

All Year 12 students then gathered at the front of the room to recite their “Statement of Commitment” as the senior students of the school.<\/p>\n

After the ceremonies, Fr Nigel – who was celebrating his birthday – was presented with a surprise cake to mark the day.<\/p>\n
