Kingaroy speedway driver Ben Stead is recovering in the Gold Coast Hospital after injuring in his back in a crash at Lismore Speedway on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

Ben was racing his Honda in Round 3 of the J&M Racecraft 4 Cylinder Super Series when he clipped another car and flipped roof-first into the concrete wall.<\/p>\n

He was taken to Lismore Hospital and then transferred to the Gold Coast to have scans taken.<\/p>\n

It is believed that Ben has injured his T7 vertebra but is expected to make a full recovery.<\/p>\n

Ben won the South Burnett Speedway Club\u2019s “4 Cylinder Sedans” perpetual shield at the club’s 2014 awards night.<\/p>\n

At the time of his crash, he was coming fourth in the J&M\u00a0series after two rounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
