Independent candidate Dean Love<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Nanango counsellor Dean Love is the sixth candidate to throw his hat into the ring to contest the seat of Nanango at the January 31 State election.<\/p>\n

Mr Love announced on his Facebook page on Friday evening that he had nominated as an Independent candidate:<\/p>\n

“Well it’s official. I have nominated to run as an independent candidate for the upcoming Queensland election,” Mr Love wrote.<\/p>\n

“I have no funding, no team of lawyers and no PR machine. It’s just me and my phone.<\/p>\n

“But I am just so sick to death of the current state of politics I thought I should give people another option.<\/p>\n

“I will stand for government accountability, evidence-based policy, reduced wages for politicians and an independent review of the State’s Budget.<\/p>\n

“I want an open and transparent government. I believe that a politician must be a servant of the people. Not a rogue wanna-be CEO sociopath.<\/p>\n

“Politicians need to act according to the wishes of their electorate. That’s why I think running as an Independent is the only ethical choice I can make.<\/p>\n

“I will not be dictated to by back-room party manipulators or corporations seeking to exploit the flaws in our democracy.<\/p>\n

“So vote for me cause I’m just like you. A little working mouse standing up against the wolves.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
