<\/a>December 15, 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n Sporting clubs in the South Burnett are being invited to apply for cash grants of up to $100,000 under a new funding program being offered by Holden.<\/p>\n The “Holden Home Ground Advantage” is a grassroots scheme that will see the company donate $5 million over the next 10 years to local sporting clubs across Australia.<\/p>\n The yearly grants program will be split into two rounds – for summer and winter sports – of $250,000.<\/p>\n During each round, one project will be awarded a grant of up to $100,000. The remaining funds will be distributed in grants of up to $10,000.<\/p>\n In Kingaroy, John Dundas Automotive Group parts manager Noel Schmidt is urging local clubs to apply for grants.<\/p>\n He said the scheme was launched last month and he didn’t want local clubs to miss out on the opportunity.<\/p>\n Noel has had a long experience with local sports clubs and knows firsthand some of the difficulties of fund-raising.<\/p>\n “The first round of funding will close at the end of February, so clubs still have plenty of time to put in applications,” he said.<\/p>\n\n
