South Burnett Thrashers … keen to play again in 2015<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

South Burnett Thrashers rugby union club has signed up 18 players interested in playing in next year’s competition – but they still need more.<\/p>\n

Club president Jamie Shirlaw told\u00a0southburnett.com.au <\/strong>that ideally the club needed 25 to 30 players to make their re-entry into the Darling Downs competition viable.<\/p>\n

The Thrashers held a sign-on last Saturday at the Broadway Hotel.<\/p>\n

Jamie said several players signed up on the night and others had apologised for not making it but had committed to play.<\/p>\n

He will be writing to the Darling Downs Rugby Union this week to appraise them of the club’s position.<\/p>\n

“We will need to know before Christmas, I believe, who will be available to play.”<\/p>\n
