Two Kingaroy residents charged with possessing 1.84kg of cannabis appeared briefly in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The pair were charged after police stopped a vehicle in Yarraman on November 9.<\/p>\n

The couple entered no plea.<\/p>\n

Police Prosecutor Sgt Wayne Bushell said he intended to elect for the charges to be heard in the District Court.<\/p>\n

The pair were remanded on bail to reappear on December 19.<\/p>\n

Also in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on Thursday: <\/strong><\/p>\n

A woman tailgated her husband’s lover through the streets of Kingaroy, right up to the steps of the police station where she bashed her, the court was told.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old mother-of-three, who had no previous criminal history, pleaded guilty to assault occasioning bodily harm.<\/p>\n

Sgt Bushell said both vehicles pulled up at the police station and both women got out.<\/p>\n

The aggrieved wife knocked the lover over, pushed her head into the concrete and punched her with her fist.<\/p>\n

“Police heard the commotion and saw what was going on,” Sgt Bushell said.<\/p>\n

The victim of the assault ended up with a large bump on the rear of her skull and abrasions, and was treated at Kingaroy Hospital.<\/p>\n

“The defendant said she had seen the victim’s car drive past her house which enraged her,” he said.<\/p>\n

He said it was quite a vicious assault with the potential to have caused serious damage.<\/p>\n

Defence solicitor Chris Campbell said his client had found out about the infidelity by email about two to three weeks earlier.<\/p>\n

“The fact that the attack occurred outside the police station says a lot about her state of mind,” Magistrate Simon Young said.<\/p>\n

“While I have sympathy for her position. I have zero sympathy in respect to her conduct.”<\/p>\n

He fined her $900 with no conviction recorded.<\/p>\n

A man facing 108 charges – including 105 fraud charges – will reappear in court on December 18.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Luke Gary Holdstock, 27, also faces three bail charges.<\/p>\n

Magistrate Young said the charges related to various jurisdictions and there had been “too much delay” in the matter.<\/p>\n

He said that if case conferencing did not resolve the delay, he would return the charges to their own jurisdictions to be dealt with separately.<\/p>\n

Comments on Facebook have been blamed for an incident in which a vehicle was trashed by three people.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The four doors and a front panel were kicked in and a windscreen was smashed.<\/p>\n

Tony Martin Bishell-Smith and Samantha Lea Predo pleaded guilty to wilful damage and were fined $300 each.<\/p>\n

They were also ordered to pay restitution of $4066.21 and $4066.22 respectively.<\/p>\n

No convictions were recorded.<\/p>\n

The court heard that the person driving the car had made “derogatory statements on Facebook” about Bishell-Smith’s family and grandmother.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Samantha’s brother Clinton Predo was fined $750 – and ordered to pay $250 restitution – when he appeared in Toowoomba Court charged over his part in the same incident.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
