August 20, 2012<\/strong><\/p>\n A parolee charged after police allegedly located an illegal drug lab in Kingaroy in January was fined $400 when he re-appeared in Kingaroy Magistrates Court court last Thursday (August 16).<\/p>\n Robert David Castle pleaded guilty to possessing a relevant thing (glassware) under the Drugs Misuse Act.<\/p>\n Charges of producing a dangerous drug and possessing a substance were withdrawn after police offered no evidence.<\/p>\n Police Prosecutor Sgt Wayne Bushell said latent fingerprints identified as belonging to Castle were found on glassware located after police executed a search warrant on a Kingaroy address on January 30.<\/p>\n Sgt Bushell said Castle was not involved in the actual production of the drugs but had knowledge of the glassware and what it was being used for.<\/p>\n As a result of his being charged, Castle’s parole was revoked and he was returned to prison.<\/p>\n Mr Mark Werner, for Castle, said the glassware had been manufactured and only handed to his client for inspection. <\/p>\n Magistrate John Parker ordered that a conviction be recorded.<\/p>\n Charges against a second man, Troy Anthony Lette, in relation to the same police raid were adjourned to September 6.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" A parolee charged after police allegedly located an illegal drug lab in Kingaroy in January was fined $400 when he re-appeared in Kingaroy Magistrates Court court last Thursday (August 16).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[3,24],"tags":[155,21,1132],"yoast_head":"\n
