Cherbourg residents who have any concerns about their respiratory health are invited to take part in the Indigenous Respiratory Outreach Care (IROC) program.<\/p>\n

The one-day specialist respiratory clinic will be held in Cherbourg on Friday, November 7, from 8:30am to 5:00pm.<\/p>\n

Dr Maninder Singh will conduct the clinic from 8:30am to noon at the Barambah Aboriginal Medical Service, corner of Bligh and Broadway streets, and from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Cherbourg Community Health Centre, Barambah Avenue, Cherbourg.<\/p>\n

IROC program officer Marcus Pedro encouraged all residents to take advantage of the free service.<\/p>\n

\u201cIROC is a state-wide program aimed at improving the incidences and outcomes of respiratory diseases in Indigenous communities,\u201d Mr Pedro said.<\/p>\n

\u201cResidents who have concerns about their lung health, are short of breath, have a persistent running nose or cough a lot are encouraged to attend on the day.\u201d<\/p>\n

The IROC Program accepts referrals from medical staff, GPs, nurses and health workers as well as self-referrals.<\/p>\n
