Which way will it bend? A short putt is worth as much as a long drive so current Kingaroy Junior Golf Division 1 B Grade Champion Kobe George does all he can to work out the lie of the green<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

It came down to the last putt but Kobe George put the ball in the hole to seal a win for him and playing partner Kody Allen in Saturday\u2019s two-man ambrose at Kingaroy Golf Course.<\/p>\n

The dedicated junior golf club members took victory against Caiden Priaulx and Liam Trenerry in a great exhibition of skill.<\/p>\n

Kody, 10, has been playing for four months and already has a handicap of 31.<\/p>\n

Kobe, 9, has a handicap of 20 and been playing for six years, while Liam, 14, and Caiden, 16, have handicaps of 22 and 20 respectively after the same amount of time.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy Junior Golf games are always played in a non-competitive spirit.<\/p>\n

Co-ordinators Dony and Ange George said the game was about individuals trying to beat their own best scores from previous weeks.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s always a great morning of fun and laughs, near misses, great shots and some ordinary ones, too,\u201d Dony said.<\/p>\n

Anybody under the age of 17 can join and play a round of nine holes for $5 every Saturday from 7:30am. Mums and dads are welcome to join them.<\/p>\n
