The next fundraiser for the South Burnett Mayor’s Community Benefit Fund will appeal to tennis fans who are earlybirds.<\/p>\n

The breakfast fundraiser will be held from 6:30am to 8:00am on Tuesday, November 18, at Murgon RSL Club.<\/p>\n

The special guest speaker will be former British professional tennis player Andrew Jarrett.<\/p>\n

The breakfast is being billed as the “chance to find out what the superstars of world tennis are really like”.<\/p>\n

Jarrett played singles tennis at the Australian Open (1978 and 1981), \u00a0Wimbledon (1977-83) and the US Open (1982) but specialised in doubles, partnering fellow British player Jonathan Smith in the finals of many leading tournaments including the Australian Open.<\/p>\n

The pair won the Auckland ATP title in 1982.<\/p>\n

Jarrett was also a member of Great Britain’s Davis Cup squad from 1981-83.<\/p>\n

He has been the Tournament Referee at Wimbledon since June 2006.<\/p>\n
