A Nanango man has been left with his car keys in his pocket and nothing much else after a visit to the Motors In Motion Festival in Kingaroy at the weekend.<\/p>\n

The man parked his customised 1996 Ford Falcon XR6 ute in the carpark on Saturday morning while he went off to enjoy the fun.<\/p>\n

He told police that when he returned in the afternoon, the vehicle was missing.<\/p>\n

Later that evening, police found the vehicle at Narangba, totally destroyed by fire.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy police are asking for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the carpark area – such as a vehicle being loaded onto a trailer – to contact them on (07) 4160-4900 or CrimeStoppers on 1800-333-000.<\/p>\n

Acting Senior Sergeant Brad Johannesen said at this stage police were unsure whether the vehicle was driven, towed or placed on a trailer but the thieves must have known what they were doing as it was fitted with a vehicle immobiliser.<\/p>\n

The Ford Falcon XR6 ute is described as dark blue with a custom front bumper bar, rear wing, side skirts and mag wheels.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
