Racing returns to the Kingaroy Speedway on the Queen’s Birthday long weekend (September 29-30) with the 28th running of the Queensland Street Sedan Title.<\/p>\n

This is only the sixth time that the Title has been held in Kingaroy, and in a departure from tradition it is being run at the start of the speedway season.<\/p>\n

Entrants will be competing for the Keith Harm Trophy, named after the Harm family patriarch and stalwart of South Burnett speedway who died in July last year.<\/p>\n

The first State Title was held at Mothar Mountain in Gympie in 1986. Kingaroy hosted the event in 1988, 1991, 1999, 2003 and 2007.<\/p>\n

Local drivers have enjoyed much success in the event, including Chris Kidd, and Craig Harm and Brett Barron who have both taken home the Title twice.<\/p>\n

The weekend of racing will also include the South Burnett Stampede (AMCA racers), Junior Sedans, 4 Cylinders, Australian stock cars (Saturday) and Modified Productions (Sunday).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
