For the first time, two of BreastScreen Queensland\u2019s state-of-the-art digital mobile vans will be visiting the South Burnett at the same time.<\/p>\n

The buses are offering free screening services to women aged 40 and over.<\/p>\n

Until November 4, a van is located at the Nanango Hospital and until February, 2015, a second van will be located at the Kingaroy Hospital.<\/p>\n

BreastScreen Queensland Health Promotion Officer Jessica Hobbs said it was essential women looked after their health and had a regular breast screen.<\/p>\n

\u201cBreast cancer is still the most common cancer affecting Queensland women,\u2019\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne in eight Queensland women will develop breast cancer, therefore it\u2019s so important to book your breast screen while the mobile van is in town.<\/p>\n

\u201cEarly detection could save your life.<\/p>\n

\u201cWomen aged 40 years and over in the South Burnett area should take this opportunity and make their appointment before the mobile service leaves for another two years.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n

A doctor\u2019s referral is not required to attend the mobile screening service.<\/p>\n
