Moffatdale’s annual Vine Dining Long Lunch will be making its fourth outing on Saturday, August 18.<\/p>\n

And while it will only feature two wineries this year, organisers Clovely Estate and Bridgeman Downs Cellars promise Vine Dining fans that all the features they’ve grown to like will remain the same.<\/p>\n

These include a free shuttle bus between both venues; souvenir Vine Dining glasses; live entertainment at each venue; and freshly cooked main meals and desserts from both venues too (which – this year – will include cheese platters as an alternative to dessert).<\/p>\n

Vine Dining began in 2009 when Clovely Estate, Bridgeman Downs and Barambah Wines decided to create a new annual event for the region’s wine buffs, as well as visitors who wanted to travel from further afield.<\/p>\n

It runs from 10:00am through to 5:00pm on the third Saturday each August and its primary focus is on relaxed eating, drinking responsibly and having fun.<\/p>\n

For visitors, Vine Dining also offers are a rare chance to see vineyards at the quietest time of year when the vines are “sleeping” their way through winter before they erupt back into life in early spring.<\/p>\n

A decision by Barambah Wines to “mothball” their Redgate cellar door in April this year<\/strong><\/a> has removed one of the venues for the short term, but it may rejoin the party in future as the effects of the 2011 floods recede.<\/p>\n

Tickets to this year’s Vine Dining are $38.<\/p>\n

For this, guests get a souvenir wine glass and their first fill of the day; a main meal ticket; a dessert\/cheese platter ticket; free shuttle bus rides all day; and free live entertainment (from Sunshine Coast band X-Session at Clovely Estate, and from South Burnett band The Blues Excuse at Bridgeman Downs Cellars).<\/p>\n

Tickets can be obtained from the Vine Dining Long Lunch<\/a><\/strong> website, or at either venue on Saturday.<\/p>\n
