A long weekend and sunshine always seems to bring out the car clubs … and we’re not complaining!<\/p>\n

Six cars (and 12 owners) from the Brisbane-based American Ford V8 Club visited the South Burnett on Sunday as part of a three-day drive through the area.<\/p>\n

The mini-rally stayed at Gympie on Day 1 and then headed through Goomeri and Murgon to Wondai, where they pulled over at the Visitor Information Centre to catch up on the latest information.<\/p>\n

They then travelled to Kingaroy where they stayed the night before returning home.<\/p>\n

The American Ford V8 Club is open to vehicles manufactured between 1955 and 1972.<\/p>\n

Amongst the cars visiting Wondai on Sunday was a rare two-door left-hand-drive Mercury Marquis hardtop.<\/p>\n
