Runners-up trophies went to a countback.

In addition to the usual placegetters’ prize money, monetary prizes were given to individual game winners.

This new idea was well-received by all players.

Winners: Kingaroy/Bundaberg (Betty Cullen, Danny Holligan, Errol Dionysius, Noel Cullen) – 3 wins

Runners Up: North Dalby (Wendy Usher, Sally Kelly, Gordon Usher, Tom Kelly) – 2 wins plus an end on countback.

Third: Kingaroy/Gayndah (Lester Newman, Aymee Bellert, Warwick Bellert, Mark Williams) – 2 wins

* * *

On Thursday, club triples was played with randomly selected teams, and the winners were determined by the highest winning score.

Winners: Col McBride, Lyle Dascombe and Bruce Johnston – High Score 25

Runners Up: Steve Carland, Felipe Munoz and Ray Crawford – High Score 24

Results:

Col McBride, Lyle Dascombe and Bruce Johnston def.
