It’s going to be busy at Kingaroy Library over the next few weeks.<\/p>\n

Australian author Nicole Alexander will be visiting the library on Tuesday, October 28, to talk about her works and chat with fans.<\/p>\n

Nicole was born and raised north-west of Moree where her family have a property producing Hereford cattle.<\/p>\n

She is now a partner with her parents and most days you\u2019ll find her working in the stockyards, mustering sheep or cattle, inspecting crops, or working in the station office.<\/p>\n

Her partner David is a cotton grower.<\/p>\n

Nicole has been passionate about writing for more than 20 years and is the bestselling author of six novels.<\/p>\n

The event will start at 11:30am and Collins Booksellers will provide a light lunch.<\/p>\n

On November 10 – the day before Remembrance Day – Kingaroy Library will pause to remember the heroes of World War I.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Local historian Liz Caffery will present a moving presentation from 10:30am about the battlefields and memorial sites at Gallipoli, the Somme and Flanders Fields.<\/p>\n

She will recount a brief overview of the history of the war in these locations, show images of the battlefields, then and now, and speak of her personal reflections while present in these sacred places.<\/p>\n
