Women’s running club the\u00a0Go Getta Girls<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0held a movie night at the Satellite Cinema in Kingaroy on Sunday night to help raise funds for the 2012 Relay for Life.<\/p>\n

The featured movie “The Sapphires” is an Australian comedy which tells the story four young, talented indigenous women who are discovered by a talent scout and travel to Vietnam in 1968 to sing for the troops.<\/p>\n

Members got in the spirit of the film by donning 1960s retro wear.<\/p>\n

A club spokesman said the night was a great success and finished with homemade savoury and sweet treats.<\/p>\n

Go Getta Girls are also planning to hold a Garage Sale on Saturday, September 22, to help raise more funds for Relay for Life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
