There was a riot of fun in Kingaroy’s Memorial Park on Thursday … especially for fans of Mickey and Minnie Mouse.<\/p>\n

Local business Funky Fairy Floss sponsored the family fun day, dubbed “Riot In The Park”, to help the Ride For Life team raise funds for Relay For Life.<\/p>\n

Team member Leisa Dugdell said the nine members of the group had been busy raising funds through various activities, including a car wash and lolly guessing competition, but the fun day was going to the main effort.<\/p>\n

“We’re hoping to get about $1000 today,” she said.<\/p>\n

There was a jumping castle, sumo suit wrestling, games, a sausage sizzle, snow cones and fairy floss … but the big stars were Mickey and Minnie Mouse who were quickly swamped by young fans when they arrived.<\/p>\n

The 9th annual South Burnett Relay For Life, to raise money for the Cancer Council, will be held at the Kingaroy Showgrounds on October 11-12.<\/p>\n
