Graham House’s transport scheme now has three special wheelchairs thanks to a special Huston Nissan promotion earlier this year.<\/p>\n

The idea was that every time someone test drove either a Nissan X-Trail or the new Nissan Qashqai, $25 would be donated to the Graham House.<\/p>\n

However, when the Saturday in question dawned, the weather was awful.<\/p>\n

“I was so despondent,” Graham House manager Linda O’Hare said. \u00a0“It was so cold, it was freezing. I didn’t think anyone would come along.”<\/p>\n

“But Mark Huston blew us away when at the end of the day he presented us with a cheque for the full amount. Their generosity was amazing!”<\/p>\n

The $2500 was used to purchase three ultralight transit chairs which will be used in conjunction with Graham House’s patient transport scheme.<\/p>\n

“They will help us move people from their house to the car, and from the car to their appointment or around the shopping centre,” Graham House transport co-ordinator Maree Anderson said.<\/p>\n

The promotion was run in conjunction with Nissan Australia and\u00a0Felicity\u2019s Wish Foundation<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
