With more than 750 caravans already in place – and more expected over the next two days – Nanango’s biggest weekend of the year is officially underway.<\/p>\n

The four-day Heritage Nanango Country Music Muster is a highlight on the \u201cgrey nomad\u201d circuit and attracts literally thousands of people every year to Nanango Showgrounds to enjoy a mix of country and gospel music and bush poetry.<\/p>\n

The South Burnett\u2019s own Dean Perrett is one of the headline acts this year.<\/p>\n

Dean’s duet with Troy Casser-Daly, “My Country, My Land”, is currently riding high on Australian country music charts and was a finalist in the Australian Independent Country Music Awards for Heritage Song of the year.<\/p>\n

Other artists to appear on stage include Col Hardy, Graham Rodger, Bec Hance and Brian Letton.<\/p>\n

Profits from the Muster are ploughed back into upgrading the Nanango Showgrounds as well as helping local organisations.<\/p>\n

Last year donations were made to the Nanango State School, the Nanango State High School, Coolabunia State School, Nanango & District Kindergarten and the RACQ CareFlight helicopter rescue service.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
