September 12, 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ten fire crews were called to a large grassfire burning on a property near Weeks Road at Goodger this afternoon.<\/p>\n

The fire broke out at about 1:00pm and sent smoke billowing into the sky south of Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

Fire crews laid down protection around a nearby house but a QFES spokesman said the fire was currently posing no threat to property.<\/p>\n

Both urban and rural brigades attended.<\/p>\n

The fire has burned out about 2ha of land.<\/p>\n

UPDATE 3:15pm:<\/strong> \u00a0Six fire crews are at a grassfire burning in the vicinity of Coolabunia Road and Malar Road at Booie.<\/p>\n

This fire, which broke out at 2:00pm, is also posing no threat to property and crews are working to contain the fire.<\/p>\n

UPDATE 5:00pm:<\/strong> Fire crews are also in attendance at a grassfire near the Chinchilla-Wondai Road at Ballogie. \u00a0No further information is available.<\/p>\n
