September 9, 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s going to be a huge weekend for the Kingaroy Clay Target Club with trap shooters coming from all over Australia for the 2014 Australian Clay Target Association Commonwealth Clay Target Carnival.<\/p>\n

The three-day carnival will get underway this Friday at 8:30am.<\/p>\n

More than 120 nominations have already been received from across the country, with organisers expecting even more before the end of the week.<\/p>\n

Scott Prendergast said some of Australia’s best trap shooters would be taking part.<\/p>\n

This is the first year the event has been held in Queensland.<\/p>\n

Scott said in previous years Perth and Darwin had hosted the Commonwealth carnival so Kingaroy was greatly honoured to be given the privilege this year.<\/p>\n

“The club is very grateful for the support of the event by the many numerous businesses and agencies that are supporting the event,” Scott said.<\/p>\n

Spectators are welcome on all days and the club’s canteen will be operating.<\/p>\n

On Friday evening, there’ll be a barbecue and fireworks display from about 6:30pm as part of the opening night celebrations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
