August 28, 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n

The South Burnett Regional Council, in conjunction with Biosecurity Queensland, is conducting another round of wild dog baiting in the region next month.<\/p>\n

Baiting stations will be set up at Wondai, Nanango, Murgon, Cloyna, Kingaroy and Kumbia.<\/p>\n

All participants must register their intention to conduct baiting and ensure all notification and administrative requirements are met prior to attending the baiting station.<\/p>\n

To register, contact Stock Route & Pest Officer Kerry Hayes on (07) 4189-9312 before Friday, September 5.<\/p>\n

Owners of domestic and working dogs should restrain and\/or muzzle their dogs during the baiting program to minimise the risk of dogs wandering and coming into contact with poison baits.<\/p>\n

Landholders have a legislative responsibility to control declared pests on their land.<\/p>\n
