Wickety Wak founder Greg Doolan and his wife Lorna will be the headline act at this year’s Colours of Yarraman<\/a><\/strong> concert which will be held on Sunday, September 16.<\/p>\n

The four-day Colours of Yarraman\u00a0festival is a community celebration and a promotion of Yarraman which incorporates gardening, art and photographic competitions and displays.<\/p>\n

The fun-filled weekend also includes a bowls carnival, movie night, community dinner\/dance, mini markets, free breakfast and children\u2019s activities.<\/p>\n

The festival kicks off on Friday, September 14, with an art and photography exhibition in the Community Hall, open from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Entry is by a gold coin donation.<\/p>\n

This exhibition will also continue on Saturday, 10;00am-5:00pm, Sunday noon-3:00pm and Monday 10:00am-3:00pm. \u00a0Winners will be announced at 9:00pm on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

From 5:00pm-6:00pm on Friday, the Yarraman State School P&C will be hosting a barbecue at the school, with food and refreshments for sale, prior to a family movie night: “Looney Tunes Back In Action”. Entry is also by a gold coin donation.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, September 15, Yarraman Bowls Club will be hosting a Calcutta (8:00am) and Open Fours competition (starting at 9:00am). \u00a0In the evening, there’ll be dinner available at club with entertainment by Sharry. The bowls competition will continue on Sunday with presentations at 4:00pm.<\/p>\n

A wine and cheese evening followed by a dinner\/dance will be held at the Community Hall from 6:00pm on Saturday with entertainment by the Sempfs. Tickets, which cost $35, are available at the Bendigo Bank in Yarraman.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, the action moves to Errol Munt Park.<\/p>\n

There’ll be a free breakfast from 7:30am-9:00am hosted by the Yarraman Bendigo Community Bank.<\/p>\n

At 9:30am, the winners of the garden competition will be announced.<\/p>\n

From10:00am-2:00pm, there’ll be rides for the kids including a merry-go-round, jumping castle, maze and mega-slide.<\/p>\n

The local SES group will host lunch from 11:30am-1:30pm.<\/p>\n

The two-hour Greg Doolan (Wickety Wak) concert will get underway at 2:00pm.<\/p>\n

Colours of Yarraman is an initiative of the\u00a0Yarraman Community Council<\/strong>\u00a0and all proceeds are being contributed back into the community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
