Ergon Energy repair crews and firefighters in Browne Street, Yarraman, today<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

August 24, 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n

An ex-possum is believed to have caused a blackout in Yarraman this afternoon which knocked Wild Horse FM off air for about 90 minutes and left about 400 local residents without power.<\/p>\n

The blackout also triggered alarms in the Bendigo Bank branch.<\/p>\n

Firefighters were called to the corner of the D’Aguilar Highway and Browne Street about 1:50pm to extinguish a small fire on a power pole.<\/p>\n

Flames damaged a crossbar and the main pole.<\/p>\n

Power was fully restored by Ergon Energy crews and repairs completed by 4:35pm.<\/p>\n
