Don’t be alarmed if you see a few knights and viking warriors wandering around Nanango on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The Nanango Art Society is holding its second annual Medieval Fayre in the grounds of the Winds of Change Gallery in George Street.<\/p>\n

The free day will kick off at 7:00am with breakfast with market stalls opening at 9:00am.<\/p>\n

The official opening, by South Burnett mayor Wayne Kratzmann, will be at 10:00am which will be followed by some fighting fun, a “Sunflower Tourney”.<\/p>\n

At 11:00am, there’ll be a medieval fashion parade, a hobby horse joust, boffer fighting and calligraphy classes; followed at 11:30am by a tae kwon-do demonstration.<\/p>\n

At high noon, watch out for the public “trial”.<\/p>\n

Most of the morning activities will be repeated during the afternoon.<\/p>\n

There will also be archery all day as well as wandering minstrels.<\/p>\n

The Fayre will wind down at 4:00pm when the focus of activities will shift to the Nanango Cultural Centre for the Medieval Banquet which gets underway at 7:00pm.<\/p>\n
