A 28-year-old Kingaroy man wanted for allegedly breaching his parole conditions led police on a merry chase in Parkside Drive on Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n

Senior Sergeant Duane Frank, from Kingaroy police, said when police arrived at house, the man grabbed something and ran out the back door.<\/p>\n

Police then ran through the house and followed the man on foot as first he went over the back fence and then through a rear paddock past other houses.<\/p>\n

Along the way, the man allegedly dropped what he was carrying.<\/p>\n

Snr Sgt Frank said when police eventually caught up with him “a considerable distance away” he was very aggressive; the officers used capsicum spray to subdue him before handcuffing him and taking him into custody.<\/p>\n

During a later search of the area, police allegedly located a rifle barrel and trigger mechanism which they will allege the man was carrying.<\/p>\n

He has been charged with obstructing police.<\/p>\n

Both drivers were lucky to escape injury when two vehicles collided on the D’Aguilar Highway, near the Tarong Road turn-off, yesterday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A 59-year-old Nanango man has been issued with a notice to appear in court on a charge of driving without due care and attention after he allegedly failed to give way while turning off the highway.<\/p>\n

A go kart located by Kingaroy police\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

One of two go karts allegedly stolen from a Nanango business in April has been recovered by police.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Snr Sgt Frank said a 22-year-old Kingaroy man had been charged with one count of possessing tainted property.<\/p>\n

Police will allege he has had possession of the stolen go kart since April but then on-sold it.<\/p>\n

Snr Sgt Frank said the police investigation had relied on evidence collected online.<\/p>\n

“People should understand that this information stays forever and is traceable,” he said.<\/p>\n

Investigations into the original theft are continuing but police are hopeful of recovering the second go-kart.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
