August 21, 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n

The huge Geiger Family Fun Charity Sports Day, organised by the Kingaroy Services Cricket Club and the Kingaroy Red Ants, will be held all-day Saturday at T.J. O’Neill Oval in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

The sports day, which will run from 9:00am to 5:00pm, is to raise funds to support the Geiger family and everyone is welcome to join in the fun.<\/p>\n

Entry is by a gold coin donation.<\/p>\n

Lynda Geiger, wife of local cricketer and A Grade rugby league coach Darren, was recently diagnosed with cancer and all profits raised on the day will go towards helping the family.<\/p>\n

There will be touch footy with mixed six-a-side teams, a jumping castle for the kids and a licensed bar and barbecue.<\/p>\n

Raffles will be held throughout the afternoon with some great prizes to be won.<\/p>\n

Organisers are also looking for volunteers to help behind the scenes on the day.<\/p>\n
