South Burnett Regional Council has advised that roadworks on Kumbia-Brooklands Road – between Parker Road and Ellesmere Road – will begin on Monday (August 25).<\/p>\n

The works, which will include clearing and grubbing, drainage, pavement construction and sealing, are expected to take about 18 weeks.<\/p>\n

During the construction period, traffic delays will be experienced and for most of the project, traffic will be under the direction of traffic controllers.<\/p>\n

Council says it will try to reduce traffic delays but motorists should consider alternative routes where possible.<\/p>\n

During roadworks vehicle access to properties fronting Kumbia-Brooklands Road could be affected, but residents will be notified of any planned works.<\/p>\n

A Council spokesman said that if any residents have concerns in regard to property access, they should speak to the on-site supervisor.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
