The South Burnett Regional Council has advised that a 10 tonne load limit has been placed on the Hansens Gully Bridge on Mondure Road.<\/p>\n

The limit has been imposed due to deterioration and damage to the timber decking planks.<\/p>\n

Council is currently in the process of replacing the decking timbers.<\/p>\n

Council has also advised that the first round of funding offered under its Community Assistance Grants program for 2014-2015 is now open.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Applications will close on August 29.<\/p>\n

Not-for-profit organisations based in the South Burnett may be eligible for financial assistance through the program.<\/p>\n

The project provides financial assistance for community events and projects and to elite performers at State and national level in the areas of sport, music, art and education.<\/p>\n

Potential applicants should check their eligibility before submitting applications.<\/p>\n

Application forms and information regarding the policy changes can be downloaded from the Council’s website or obtained at any Council Customer Service Centre.<\/p>\n
