Fifty staff members from St Mary\u2019s, St Patrick\u2019s and St Joseph\u2019s schools recently enjoyed a sumptuous Christmas In July dinner at Dusty Hill winery as part of their Catholic Education Week celebrations.<\/p>\n

Catholic Education Week recognises the contribution of Catholic educators to the entire Australian community. The 2014 theme is \u201cCome, live life in all its fullness\u201d.<\/p>\n

St Mary\u2019s principal Michael Nayler said the Christmas in July celebration allowed the hard-working and dedicated staff of the three schools to \u201clive life to the full\u201d by sharing a beautiful meal and enjoying a great spirit of camaraderie.<\/p>\n

St Mary\u2019s Catholic Education Week activities also include their Rock on Stage performance, South Burnett Equestrian challenge, presentations from a number of Catholic organisations and in-class activities.<\/p>\n

Dusty Hill put on a beautiful two-course buffet for the event. The main buffet featured roast pork, chicken and cranberry rolls, beef pastries, roasted vegetables and a huge variety of slices.<\/p>\n

After the dinner, Dusty Hill put on a wide variety of desserts and conducted wine tastings.<\/p>\n

A number of staff from the three schools also joined in an impromptu musical performance to finish the night.<\/p>\n

St Mary\u2019s College provided a bus so that staff could travel safely to and from the winery.<\/p>\n

Christmas in July will continue to be an integral part of St Mary\u2019s Catholic Education Week celebrations.<\/p>\n
