The South Burnett Saints are now two points clear on the top of the Darling Downs AFL Division 2 table after taming the Cougars in Toowoomba today.<\/p>\n

The Saints got off to a strong start in the first quarter, notching up five goals to University’s two.<\/p>\n

The Cougars fought back before half-time but not enough to cut into the Saints’ lead.<\/p>\n

South Burnett led at every change and romped away n the last quarter to finish\u00a013.13 (91) to\u00a08.10 (58
\nAdam Bowater led the way with the boot, spearing home six goals.<\/p>\n

Saints’ other goals were kicked by Daniel Rogers (2), Paul Pressnell (2), Ty Snow, Keiran Snow and Brad Edwards.<\/p>\n

The South Burnett’s next match – and their last scheduled home game ahead of the finals – will be played at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy next Saturday against the Chinchilla Suns.<\/p>\n
