The Kumbia Progress Association will be presenting another Kumbia Antiques Roadshow in August following on from the success of last year’s event.<\/p>\n

Due to the overwhelming number of visitors and items to be valued last year, this year\u2019s event will be held over two days in the Kumbia Memorial Hall, on Saturday and Sunday, August 30-31.<\/p>\n

Ray Dalton, a registered valuer from Victoria, will once again be coming for the whole weekend.<\/p>\n

He proved very popular last year for his amazing knowledge of all things “old” and his lively sense of humour.<\/p>\n

If you have a little treasure tucked away somewhere collecting dust or a family heirloom and wondered where it came from and what it’s worth, then come and have a wonderful day and discover the history and value of your special pieces.<\/p>\n

Ray will value toys, jewellery, bric-a-brac and clocks and will give you its background history, together with a written valuation for insurance.<\/p>\n

Valuations will be strictly limited to two items per person and only pieces small enough to carry (no furniture).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Anyone with larger items or collections can make an appointment for the valuer to visit their home.<\/p>\n

The Saturday session will start at 9:30am and will include morning tea and a country-style soup and sandwich lunch.<\/p>\n

The Sunday session will start at 11:30am, with lunch and afternoon tea.<\/p>\n

Tickets are $25 per day, which includes lunch and valuations.<\/p>\n

Tickets will be available from Options and Kingaroy Office Central in Kingaroy and Lenihan\u2019s Butchery in Kumbia.<\/p>\n

When purchasing your tickets, please specify whether you wish to come on the Saturday or Sunday. There will be no ticket sales at the door as numbers are limited.<\/p>\n

The Kumbia Markets will also be held on the same day in the hall grounds, and the Kumbia Kindergarten will be holding a monster garage sale.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
